Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon

The Cabernet Sauvignon from Bartinney represents everything low-yield Western Cape wines can be – spectacularly intense, vibrant and stylish, age-ready and deep in long-term potential. The winemakers from Bartinney go all out in their efforts to craft something truly unique and special, something tied intimately to the Stellenbosch terroir. This is a red not to be missed and to be treasured upon opening as the masterpiece it is.

The Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon is first and foremost an elegant wine – a wine that speaks to the heart of the Stellenbosch soil. With hints of dried herbs and pencil shavings, aromatic plum and cassis, this deep red wine opens to the nose with roasted coffee, cedar wood and black berry fruits. It pairs well with roasted lamb and rich beef dishes.

Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon – Stellenbosch, South Africa

Bartinney’s Cabernet Sauvignon is enriched on the vine by deep soils and healthy water reserves. This ensures an excellent harvest of rich, ripe fruit which is then fermented for up to 7 days before further maceration takes place. The wine is aged in 30% new French Oak and 70% second fill French Oak for 18 months. It should be at its peak potential in 5+ years.
